[Fontconfig] How to add dir in fonts.conf

Hi,

I am a new in a usage of fontconfig.=20
I use GNOME2.2 stack and I want to install my bdf font file.=20
I have same problem to install this font permamently . Now I used xset fp=
+.
I found the font.conf file which have a section <dir> in it could be defi=
ne a=20
directory path where the server search for fonts.
My question is:
Could help me anybody how I can add in this file a new directory <dir> ..=
=2E=20
</dir> using a command line, not edit manually. I want that at make insta=
ll=20
the path where the font file installed to be added in fonts.conf file.
