• Unisoft contracted by MIT X Consortium to build Xlib/Xserver test suite

• Test suite developed directly from X specifications without reference to code

• X specifications clarified

• X extension added to cover more assertions

• Well designed tests made bug discovery easy

• The SI was fixed to pass the suite (except arcs)
