[Fontconfig] confused about <alias> <prefer>

This is all very well - it answers my immediate problem, BUT

Is the functionality what would be expected.  Would it not be better for th=
e=20
at least the <alias> functions of <prefer> bind at the same strength as the=
=20
alias it is prepended to, otherwise it just doesn't do its job (my initial=
=20
thought is that <accept> and <default> should as well, but I don't fully=20
comprehend the importance of language so I am not so sure).=20
